Northwood School’s front gate security officer, Anathi, earns all the aura points at the school war cry!

Durban, South Africa (21 April 2026) – Fresh off a Top 5 finish in 5FM’s War Cry Champs (All Boys), Northwood School is trending again – this time thanks to front gate security officer Anathi, who stepped in with the war cry leaders and stole the show at a recent rugby match.

A video circulating online, which has racked up more than 260,000 views, shows Anathi leading the cry and drumming up all the energy in support of the Knights and their rugby match…which they subsequently smashed!

Parents and students took to the comments section of the viral video to celebrate Anathi and her good spirits. People say she’s always friendly, always kind, and apparently an absolute ray of sunshine to anyone who walks through those gates in the morning.

“You can see that she gets along with the boys and they are more confident with her around” wrote one commenter.

“She’s very kind as well, the way she treats everyone at the main gate” shared another.

“Our boys are blessed to have this lovely lady at the main gate. She is always so friendly, helpful and kind. So awesome to see her enjoying herself at the rugby on Saturday.”

Anathi makes sure the school’s champion gees starts right at the front gate!
