A sweet video shows Diesel enjoying playtime as the SPCA appeals to the public to help him find a forever home.

Durban, South Africa (14 October 2026) – A little playtime, a wagging tail and a whole lot of personality. Diesel is ready to bring some joy into someone’s life. There’s just one thing missing: a family to call his own.

The lovable dog is still waiting for his forever home at the Durban SPCA, where he has been staying for longer than most. A video shared by the organisation shows Diesel enjoying himself and showing off his playful side, offering a glimpse of the companion he could be in a loving home.

While kennel life gives animals a safe place to stay, nothing compares to having a home, a familiar face and someone who chooses you every day. Diesel is ready for that next chapter and is hoping someone will give him the chance to start afresh.

The SPCA is encouraging prospective adopters to consider opening their homes to animals like Diesel, who are still waiting for their opportunity to leave the kennels behind.

If you think Diesel could be the missing member of your family, you can find him in Kennel A6 at the Durban and Coast SPCA. For adoption enquiries, call 031 579 6524/26.

And if adopting isn’t an option right now, sharing Diesel’s story could help it reach the person he’s been waiting for.
