The Rescue Expo will be happening in Greenside, Johannesburg this weekend and you can get the chance to do some good for World Animal Day by joining in.
Johannesburg, South Africa (06 October 2022) – The Rescue Collective SA is hosting an expo dedicated to animal welfare organisations and all you need to do to attend is take some pet food along with you.
The fun-filled expo will be taking place in Greenside, Johannesburg, this weekend and all are welcome, even your well-mannered pets.
“We are so excited to have these amazing animal welfare organisations and companies joining us at the Rescue Expo at Pirates Sports Club in Greenside! Great food, kids entertainment, microchipping for your pet, and spot prizes! Bring your furkids and come out and support your favourite charity! Entrance fee is a food donation to your charity of choice.”
The Rescue Collective was founded by Dean Bush, Jennifer Gerner and Cheryl Hunter. They aim to highlight the work being done by the rescue organisations of South Africa. The focus is not only on the rescue of domestic animals but also the wildlife organisations.
There will be loads of activities for young and old, stalls and prizes galore. The event was set for this weekend, so everyone had something to do for World Animal Day.
“People around the world come together today to celebrate and support animal welfare organisations. There’s lots YOU can do too – volunteer at a local shelter or conservation centre, donate to your favourite animal welfare group OR join us all on Saturday for the Rescue Expo!!!”
You can find out more about the expo via Facebook here and see which of your favourite organisations will be there.
