The SPCA have launched a new campaign video in their “choose your family” series where the lead singer of a band exchanges lives with an adoption dog for a week.

Once again the Cape of Good Hope SPCA  is challenging the public to get on board the #chooseyourfamily campaign  “You can’t choose your family but you can choose your dog”

The organisation threw a question out on social media, asking people which family member they would swap out for an SPCA dog.

Nic Preen, lead singer of Al Bairre, an aggressively unfancy band from the mother city, South Africa, got involved and before you could say “furry little friend”, they organised a REAL LIFE family swap where a Preen family member got voted out for Tucker.

Watch as the family reveals how they really feel about each other, vote out one of their loved ones and how Tucker makes a play for a permanent family member position! #chooseyourfamily

This hilarious campaign from the SPCA reminds us we all have that one family member that is just a little bit off. Maybe not as off as Freddie Kruger and Hannibal Lecter, but a little bit off nonetheless. But luckily, there is a family member you can choose – a family member that won’t use olive oil to lather up their ripped torso.

The SPCA have received an overwhelming response to the campaign with adoption rates having increased by 50% at the time of going to press.
