Baby Ryan is one talkative baby, so his dad filmed his baby chatter for a whole year… and then made a music video for Thunderstruck by AC/DC.

Global (17 March 2020) – In January of this year, dedicated father, Matt MacMillan, shared a project he had been working on for over a year. It was a video of his son Ryan, “singing” AC/DC’s Thunderstruck.

The only thing is, Ryan isn’t actually able to sing yet. He just makes baby babble sounds. Matt recorded those sounds and arranged them by tone and repetition quality to make the song. It is probably the funniest dad thing we have written about this year so far!

“I recorded my son making baby noises, figured out the notes he made and arranged them into “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC”

Baby Ryan is now a viral sensation! This kind of video isn’t a first; we loved when David Attenborough narrated ‘What A Wonderful World‘  or when Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton “sang” ‘The Time Of My Life‘.

Matt said the recording took him ages but to diversify the sounds, he recorded the burps, sneezes, rattle shakes, couch thumbs, floor crawls and baby squeaks. The editing process took the longest. Matt had to arrange all the sounds and babbles into tones and pitches, then align them with their counterparts in Thunderstruck.

He shared a full “How I Did It” video if you are interested in knowing the details. But before that, take a look at baby Ryan’s rendition of Thunderstruck below.
