Must Watch: That time Coconut Kelz got bliksemed by her mother

“Oh my gosh… she is so black you guys.”

Johannesburg, South Africa – Coconut Kelz is the hero we never wanted, but all needed!

The South African writer and comedian recently went viral after joining eNCA to chat about the state of the nation, but for some reason, the majority of viewers thought her character and opinions were real.

The truth behind the social media star is that she wants to start meaningful conversations.

Lesego Tlhabi created Coconut Kelz, an entitled millennial ditz with a weekly studio guest appearance on 702, to put a fresh, satirical spin on what happens in South Africa every day!

Then funny South African is using comedy to highlight real issues in our country.

When being interviewed by Cosmopolitan Thlabi explained that “People are defensive first, before they engage or listen. Satire is a great way to appeal to people who ordinarily might not want to engage. They usually catch the truth even if it’s later. Sometimes it’s better to share a laugh, than to lecture.”

And the country has fallen in love with Kelz after finding out that the character is not real.

Her videos are being shared all over social media because they are so funny… and this one which we found on her Instagram will have you in tears (of laughter).
