The Drakensberg Boys Choir honour the Springboks with beautiful song

The Drakensberg Boys Choir honoured the Springboks by performing their rendition of World in Union, first sung at the 1995 Rugby World Cup.

Drakensburg, South Africa – The Drakensberg Boys Choir have inspired South Africans leading up to the Rugby World Cup. They beautifully performed a cover of the World in Union by PJ Powers and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

During the opening ceremony of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, children also sang the song, creating a harmony that united rugby fans globally.

In 1995, PJ Power’s performed the song live at the opening of the 1995 Rugby World Cup in Cape Town for a worldwide television audience. It was the year we won, the year we will never forget!

Seeing it once again sends chills throughout our bodies. We are so excited to watch this World Cup and have so much faith that the Springboks will do us proud!

“We are proud to present this video in support of our National Rugby Team, the Springboks. We wish them all the best for the upcoming Rugby World Cup”

Take a look at their performance below.
