Ed Sheeran teamed up with Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli to sing a beautiful duet of Sheeran’s “Perfect.” And it is perfect.
The United Kingdom – Ed Sheeran has given us an early Christmas present with the release of the third version of his smash-hit single – Perfect. This time, however, Andrea Bocelli is featured and singing in Italian.
“Orchestral version of ‘Perfect’ with the amazing @andreabocelliofficial comes out Friday. Orchestrated and produced by my super talented brother Matt, little gift for you all before Christmas,” Ed wrote on Instagram.
“Hope you love it as much as I do. I sing in Italian too which is fun x.”
Rolling Stone stated that the Italian classical-crossover star offers elegance to the ballad, belting in a robust vibrato over Sheeran’s guitar arpeggios. The singers alternate lead vocals throughout the track, with Sheeran briefly crooning in Italian.
Ed first announced the collaboration during an appearance on NBC’s Today show on December 8. He also releases a beautiful video to accompany the song.
