Nobody likes to think of the erotic and parents in the same sentence… we just don’t go there but Jamie Morton had no choice in the matter when his father revealed that he had written an erotic novel, inspired by the hype around “50 Shades of Grey”.
His father, who goes by the pen name “Rocky Flinstone” isn’t just an average erotic novelist, he is an everyday guy who had some free time on his hands. Just a regular joe to be honest.
He gave his novel to Jamie who read it and had the craziest idea… To read it to the world
Podcasts are very popular overseas, they are basically like online radio shows but you don’t need to pay for anything to host one. All you require is a basic recording set up and something interesting to talk about. There are podcasts about fashion, movies, books and all the usual stuff and then there are podcasts about true crime investigations, paranormal activity and when your parent writes a porno…
So that is what Jamie Morton did, he started a podcast called “My Dad Wrote A Porno”. He decided to read a chapter of the book each episode and then discuss it with two comedians. The result is pure genius!
It is the funniest thing we have ever heard! The podcast is currently the top podcast of 2018, it has been downloaded over 80 million times. Celebs like Elijah Wood, Emma Thompson and Daisy Ridley are obsessed with the storytelling, the jokes and the all-around hilarity of the show.
The show obviously covers a range of very adult themes but if you are in for one heck of a giggle, it is well worth a listen.
