Janu-Worry Joburg Ballet

As of today, many South Africans have let the Janu-Worry blues wash away in the glory of payday, however, there are still a few people holding their breath for the end of the month. Joburg Ballet gets it spot on with their latest performance piece.

Joburg Ballet started a YouTube series in 2017 showcasing the top stories of the day in stunning performances. They have performed a Raindance for Cape Town and shown what happens when women stand together against abuse.

Every time they share a new piece, it blows us away. This time they are tackling a very common issue, the dreaded Janu-Worry. We thought it was incredibly beautiful to watch and knew you, our reader, would enjoy the performance too.

Watch the video below and let us know if you are still stuck in Janu-Worry or if you have finally been paid?

“If you were saying “KeDezemba Boss!” last month, January is probably feeling 131 days long. Payday might be just around the corner, but it sure is taking its sweet time.”

“Fortunately, in Mzansi, we’re always able to see the humour in tough times. Our latest Breaking Ballet is a light-hearted expression of how so many of us feel, as we crawl our way to the end of the month. Hang in there, guys, not long to go now.”

“Starring Mahlatse Sachane and choreographed by Joburg Ballet artistic director Iain MacDonald.”
