Debonair hiker Armani Minani is taking style and sophistication to the mountain and turning a few heads while he does it; the hiker is often spotted wearing a three-piece suit and tie.

Cape Town, South Africa (14 March 2022) – Have you seen a dapper man hiking Table Mountain recently? And by dapper, we mean a full three-piece suit and tie along with shiny shoes and a matching umbrella. Meet Armani Minani, an Instagrammer going viral for his debonair appearance while hiking along Cape Town’s famous mountain.

Minani has been spotted a few times on various sections of the mountain, and people love to stop him for a selfie. The fitness influencer and personal trainer is 25-years-old and loves hiking the mountain. He was born in the Republic of Burundi, a landlocked African country surrounded by Africa’s great lakes, Rwanda, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Minani often hikes, and when he isn’t kitted out in the typical hiking paraphernalia, he sports his suit and tie. Speaking to Minani, he shared that he often gets curious looks for people walking by. He is frequently asked if he needs some help, if he is lost or “where is the wedding?”. Each time, he laughs and explains he just loves to hike.

Starting the debonair hiking trend in 2021, Minani hikes in his suit nearly every Sunday. We asked him what inspired him to ditch the usual hiking gear. He credits his confidence and self-belief, both admirable traits in the fitness and training world.

“Well, the thing that inspired me to ditch any hiking gear and put on a suit was the belief that I am different and unique- I was born to stand out! Not fit in! I believe I am an eagle. I was born to soar.”

He started his hiking journey in 2017 with the hopes of completing the Three Peaks Challenge. At the time, life got in the way, and he was only able to complete Devil’s Peak. While Minani has hiked each peak, we ask his favourite, and it happens to be one of the most popular.

“I really enjoy all the hikes to be honest but the one that I’d say I do quite often, because it’s short and sweet and allows me to go on about my day, is Lion’s Head.”

Minani hopes to turn his fashionable style into something that gives back to the needy someday. Stay tuned to his social media for a daily dose of inspiration and see how he takes his debonair adventures to the next level.
