Nicolene Steynberg shared the beautiful story of her favourite car guard and his dog Penny, after seeing this video she hopes it will bring him success!
Pretoria, South Africa (06 July 2020) – Nicolene Steynberg first met Ignatius Ramolla while visiting her local pharmacy a year ago. Ignatius is a car guard at the centre. He had his puppy, Penny, with him, and Nicolene was immediately drawn to them. Being an animal lover, she connected with Thabo and they formed a small bond.
Time went on and Nicolene didn’t see much of him or Penny but recently he sent her a video clip of Penny.
“We haven’t had much contact since but today he sent me this lovely clip of him teaching his dog tricks. I was struck by his skill but even more by the dog’s trust and adoration. Thabo’s (Ignatius Ramolla) no-name-brand dog, Penny, will do just anything to impress him. I realised that we have hidden talent amongst the most ordinary people in South Africa.
I watched Thabo in the video and thought if we could just do the same with our children: equip them to overcome obstacles – don’t do it for them but rather encourage until they master the obstacles themselves while we just praise and acknowledge (see how Thabo does it when Penny has to get herself up onto a trunk that is almost too high for those short legs). Penny’s pride and adoration for her owner is priceless. May this video helps to earn Thabo a brand new job with his grand skills!”
Nicolene hopes the video highlights his skill as a dog trainer and opens many doors for him. The video brought a smile to our faces as it just shows that a dog truly is man’s best friend! The adoration Penny has is heartwarming.
