Kindness Like Confetti rallies support for survivors of gender-based violence through practical care and compassion.

South Africa (14 August 2025) – This Women’s Month, non-profit organisation Kindness Like Confetti is taking action to stand with women and girls facing the harsh realities of gender-based violence. Just like they suggest, they are going far and wide to spread their message as a reminder that you are seen, valued, and not alone.

Through their Dignity Bags campaign, they are collecting hygiene items and comfort essentials to support survivors of abuse, rape, and trauma. Each bag is thoughtfully packed with items to restore dignity and bring a touch of comfort, from toiletries and underwear to scarves, blankets, and even a notepad for adults. For children, the bags include colouring books, crayons, and a soft teddy bear. A donation of just R200 sponsors a complete bag, but supporters can also contribute items or help with packing.

Kindness Like Confetti’s work goes far beyond a single project. Their Pad Princess initiative ensures young girls and women have access to menstrual products so they can stay in school and live with confidence.

Their Joseph Jersey Project sees a team of knitters creating practical and heartfelt items year-round. From winter beanies for the homeless to toys, baby blankets, and shawls for those in need.

At Kindness Like Confetti, they believe in the power of kindness to create positive change.  The mission is to tackle challenges like period poverty, gender-based violence, and inequality by providing resources and support that educate, uplift, and empower women.

Every project is rooted in compassion and the belief that when women are supported, entire communities flourish. This Women’s Month, the call to action is to help spread kindness that uplifts, restores, and empowers.
