The masquerade-themed show will raise much-needed funds for children at St Joseph’s Intermediate Paediatric Care.

Cape Town, South Africa (11 September 2025)Rocking4Cancer is marking a big milestone this year with its 10th anniversary show! The annual charity event will again be putting music and community to work for a good cause.

On Friday, 3 October, West End in Cape Town will host the Masquerade-themed concert featuring performances by Dr Jules, Berry Trytsman, Daylin Sass, Novocaine, Sade Von S, Tiana, Zoë Avontuur, B12 Boy Band and DJ Hielin.

All proceeds from the night will go to St Joseph’s Intermediate Paediatric Care, an incredible organisation that has been looking after children with serious and life-limiting illnesses for 90 years. St Joseph’s doesn’t only provide medical treatment, but it also gives emotional and spiritual support to both the children and their families.

“As St Joseph’s celebrates 90 years of care, we are deeply grateful to Rocking4Cancer for choosing our children as beneficiaries of this milestone event,” says CEO Christelle Cornelius. “Every ticket sold contributes directly to our mission… and uplifts families during the most challenging times.”

The difference their care makes is clear in stories like Angel’s.

Little Angel was admitted in 2021 with multiple medical challenges. She needed a tracheostomy and PEG feeding tube. Therapy was a battle, she was afraid of leaving the ward and refused to engage with toys. But through hydrotherapy for language stimulation, Angel has found her voice. She now eats independently, tolerates her speaking valve for longer periods, and is forming two-word sentences. Seeing her confidence bloom in the pool has been one of the greatest joys for the team at St Joseph’s.

Not every story ends the same way. Some families spend their final days at St Joseph’s preparing to say goodbye to a child. The most heart-wrenching thing a parent can do. But even in those moments, the team walks every step with them, making sure nobody feels alone.

This care is the reason for an incredible 90 year legacy.

This is why Rocking4Cancer matters. Since its first show in 2013, it has raised money for CHOC, The Sunflower Fund, Love Your Nuts, the Breast Care Foundation and so many more. Now, ten years in, it’s St Joseph’s turn to receive some love and support.
