Action in Isolation continues to support four feeding schemes and two creches in KZN, ensuring that hundreds of children receive regular meals.
Midlands, South Africa (12 September 2024) – We hear about feeding schemes very often, if not all the time, and it’s so easy for such a service to fall into the shadows as just another one of those things in society.
But, if you take a moment to consider how many young children and teens probably go to bed hungry and then wake up the next morning to go to school with a grumbling stomach, holding on to the hope of receiving a warm meal or a sandwich at lunchtime, you realise that feeding schemes are a lifeline for many destitute families.
Action in Isolation continues to assist four feeding schemes in the greater Midlands area in KZN, providing a level of food security for hundreds of children who visit them.
The organisation is also pleased to share that two of the creches it supports now provide two meals and snacks a day for about 45 children.
“Two of our larger feeding programmes in Lidgetton and Howick West, feed 100 children twice weekly and another 100 children four days a week respectively.
“For many of these children, this is the only sure meal they will receive and your support in making this happen is always greatly appreciated,” Action in Isolation reveals.
