From gifting a child in need the joy of music lessons to gifting essential goodies and books, charitable opportunities for the season of giving have already started popping up! Here are a few to consider to wrap up those good deeds ahead of time:

South Africa (23 October 2024) — Though Dezemba is still quite a stretch ahead, there’s no harm in planning ahead, especially when it comes to organising those ever-tricky gift lists. In good news for those looking for charitable opportunities to consider this festive season, options have already popped up!

Because there is often a lot of hard work and logistics to consider when it comes to the charity festive seasons, organisations plan ahead.

While there will be many more charitable opportunities set to unravel as we edge closer to the official festive season, here are a few options to consider for anyone looking to scratch off their good deeds early this year:

The Santa Shoebox Project

The Santa Shoebox Project is ever so close to meeting all their pledges for 2024! Help them reach their final push by offering to pledge a shoebox filled with age-appropriate essential goodies that will go to a child in need, here.

The Kronendal Music Academy of Hout Bay

The Kronendal Music Academy of Hout Bay Is a charity that offers music education as well as mental and emotional support for the children in their care, breaking cycles of poverty through musical passions.

Music lovers looking to pay their love forward can sponsor a pupil’s music lessons for next year as either a once-off or for the whole year. You can gift a child the joy of music here.

Charity Begins With Me’s Christmas Book Drive

Charity Begins With Me is running a Christmas Book Drive as part of their festive season preparations. They are looking for children’s books for 1,500 children, and donations can be organised by connecting with CBWM’s Stephen Ferreira, here.

Much more will be added to our list, and charities that have a festive drive in the works can contact us on info@goodthingsguy.com
