Famed Good Samaritan Bl Phakathi recently made high fives all the more epic thanks to the surprise gifts waiting for strangers!
South Africa (18 December 2024) — There are few things as satisfying as those high fives that just hit in perfect synchronicity, except, perhaps, a high five from famed Good Samaritan Bl Phakathi with a neat surprise waiting in the wings (or in this case, the back of his hands).
Bl Phakathi is known for his kind and often creative acts. Whether it’s helping a young man without shoes get a new outfit and phone or surprising someone begging for just R2 with groceries, Bl has been a driving force behind hope for many South Africans, encouraging us all to remember how much the little acts that we’re all capable of, can mean.
In recent Bl Phakathi news, high fives took centre stage as a way to spread kindness to people who were none-the-wiser.
Whilst strangers went about their daily doings, Bl decided that a little high five might make their day a little brighter, especially when a treat awaited.
On the back of BI’s hand, unique surprises were taped. For some, this meant a new candy bar or sweets. For others, some cash.
People, young and old, welcomed the warm high-fives. While some little ones were clever enough not to interact with a stranger, their parents (who realised what was actually happening) helped facilitate the heartwarming high five.
After initial uncertainty, many of the high-fivers realised the little dose of joy that awaited them, and the smiles and reactions certainly warmed our hearts!
