After losing his leg to a below-knee amputation, Kagiso is rewriting what strength looks like and with support from the Gammie on the Go Foundation and everyday South Africans rallying behind him, he is getting closer to walking again.

South Africa (23 October 2025) – Sometimes, the smallest moments tell the biggest stories. Like a young boy named Kagiso doing a handstand because, as Sean Clarke puts it, “why the hell not?”

Born with club feet, Kagiso recently underwent a below-knee amputation. But his story is not one of loss. The Gammie on the Go Foundation has launched a campaign to raise funds to help Kagiso walk again using prosthetic legs, and the response has been nothing short of heart-warming.

In the weeks since the campaign began, people from all over South Africa have come together. Donating, sharing the story, and sending words of encouragement.

Sean Clarke, who started Gammie on the Go, has been working closely with Adam Nunn, who is also deeply involved in supporting Kagiso’s recovery. Together, they are ensuring Kagiso receives the prosthetic legs he needs while building the strength and skills required to walk confidently and comfortably.

The team has been coordinating therapy, mobility training, and practical guidance on using his new prosthetics so that Kagiso can regain independence safely. This holistic approach ensures he not only walks again but does so with stability, confidence, and renewed freedom.

Kagiso is steadily building the physical strength he needs, and the funds raised will also cover ongoing therapy and psychological support, helping him through every step of his recovery journey.

As Sean shared, this is not just one person’s effort, but a collective one. Every person who has donated, offered support, or shared Kagiso’s story has become part of something bigger.

Kagiso’s journey is still unfolding.
