Lwandile shared images of his graduation on twitter and quickly went viral, he’s been offered a scholarship that will cover his final studies and transport.
Lwandile dedicated all his hard work and achievements to his mother in a post on social media which he captioned “I do this for my mamma”. The post quickly went viral and South Africa was moved by his dedication.
People started reaching out to offer assistance. Glynne Wolman from The Angel Network emailed us to let us know she had seen the article we wrote and had made plans to provide Lwandile with a Scholarship.

Lwandile has been offered R30 000 which will cover the R29 000 outstanding for the rest of the year as well as all his food and transport needs.
