Lwandile

Lwandile shared images of his graduation on twitter and quickly went viral, he’s been offered a scholarship that will cover his final studies and transport.

Lwandile dedicated all his hard work and achievements to his mother in a post on social media which he captioned “I do this for my mamma”. The post quickly went viral and South Africa was moved by his dedication.

People started reaching out to offer assistance. Glynne Wolman from The Angel Network emailed us to let us know she had seen the article we wrote and had made plans to provide Lwandile with a Scholarship.

“We were so blown away by the tenacity, perseverance and determination of Lwandile that we have done everything in our power to ensure that he continue to not only rise but shine and together with SA Link Trust his fees will all be paid.” – Glynne Wolman, The Angel Network

Lwandile has been offered R30 000 which will cover the R29 000 outstanding for the rest of the year as well as all his food and transport needs.

The Angel Network is a voluntary organization that is run solely via the power of social media. The concept is to create a platform for giving. They believe in a hand up not a hand out!

The platform from which helping the helpless will become easily accessible to anyone wanting to do a little more, and give a little more. The Angel Network enables, facilitates and mobilises acts of kindness.
