A Western Cape dance studio was recently crowned the top club in their league. Now, they have the chance to make their province proud at nationals!
Western Cape, South Africa (07 September 2023) — In the world of local dance, a tight-knit dance studio has a big opportunity to make their province proud.
Western Cape-based dance studio, Jodie Jackson Dance Centre, recently blew the lights out at the Dance Sport Club League Western Cape last month—a shining accomplishment for their first rhythm rodeo in that space.
Four club fixtures later, their moves earned them position as the top-scoring club for the season leaving 34 dancers and 3 coaches dancing on Cloud Nine.
It was a big moment for Jodie Jackson dancers and the studio that’s been going for over 10 years; seeing countless lives impacted through rhythm, teamwork and the thrill of performance.
Now, thanks to the league’s success, a whole other world of opportunities lies before the talented troupe.
The opportunity now stands for them to compete in the DSCL Nationals in Johannesburg, which sets them en route to earning national colours if they keep up the stellar performances.
However, as it is with many sporting dreams, the chance is as good as the penny that paves its way, and so the dancers are calling on lovers of movement in the Western Cape and beyond to help give them their opportunity.
The Centre is reaching out to dance-loving individuals and community cheerleaders of dreams to help them give the chance to make their province proud and back the dream.
The Jodie Jackson Dance Centre are appealing for assistance with entry fees and dance kits; which won’t just help them take the national stage and show the rest of SA their talent, but will also show the dancers who can’t finance their own trips that greatness isn’t exclusive to fortune when you have community support.
You can offer a move to their showstopping chance here.
