Trevor Noah is now an award winning Author, his book ‘Born a Crime’ was nominated and won two awards at the 2017 NAACP Image Awards.

Trevor Noah’s autobiography ‘Born a Crime’ was acknowledged by The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), in the United States of America, the book was nominated in two categories of the NAACP Image Awards.

The nominations were in the categories for Outstanding Literary Work award for Debut Author and for Outstanding Literary Work for Biography/Autobiography.

The NAACP Images Awards are for all fields based in the Entertainment Industry. Film, Television, Literacy and Music are some of the fields covered by the awards event.

Trevor Noah won his categories and the awards for Outstanding Literary Work award for Debut Author and for Outstanding Literary Work for Biography/Autobiography. Trevor was honoured by the win and tweeted his thanks to fans.

Trevor was also a presenter at the award show and tweeted about that too,

In December the award winning author posted a video on Facebook thanking all his South African fan’s for making the book such a huge success.

” Thank you so much to every single person who has made my book a success, its number one on the charts in South Africa for 3 weeks in a row I think?”

“Thank you guys, Ngiyabonga, Dankie, I am eternally indebted to you and I am grateful that you have taken the time to buy my book and read the book and thank you for being a part of my story”
