Through its lunchbox project, the WAS Foundation is on a mission to ensure that no child goes to school hungry.
Krugersdorp, South Africa (11 September 2024) – The WAS Foundation (We’re Against Starvation) is built on the strong belief that as long as the reality of starvation and hunger exists among underserved communities in Krugersdorp, their work is not done.
Over and above their various programmes and efforts, WAS Foundation believes that every child deserves a lunchbox to fuel their day.
The foundation’s Kids’ Lunchbox Project is dedicated to ensuring that children in the communities they serve receive breakfast and lunchboxes, packed with love and care.
“But we can’t do it alone! We need your support to keep this vital project going. Whether it’s a donation of food items, lunchbox supplies, or a financial contribution, every bit helps us make a difference in a child’s life,” WAS Foundation’s Esmarelda appeals.
The organisation is appealing to the greater public to make sure no child goes to school hungry and starts each day with a smile and a full stomach.
“Together, we can nourish their minds and bodies, giving them the energy they need to learn and grow.”
Three ways you can help:
- Donate food items like fruit, sandwiches, and healthy snacks for 3,600 lunchboxes per month.
- Contribute lunchbox essentials such as water bottles, lunch bags, and containers.
- Make a financial donation to help WAS purchase what’s needed.
