Even when faced with financial challenges, the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA staff are keeping spirits high and tails wagging by shimmying to the beat!

Germiston, South Africa (05 August 2025) – Even when times are tough and when finances are low, the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA staff continue to see their glass as half full!

In an uplifting video shared on Facebook, a few of the staff members are seen shimmying to The La’s There She Goes hit song as their positive coping mechanism and creative rally for public support.

“We’re shimmying our way through the challenges, but protecting animals in need is no easy dance. Your support keeps tails wagging, bellies full, and our team smiling,” the post said.

Founded in 1906, the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA has been at the forefront of animal welfare for over a century. Their mission is to prevent cruelty and promote the welfare of all animals while striving to end animal cruelty in South Africa and fostering compassion for all creatures.

The team is dedicated to serving and protecting all animals within their care until they find their way to their forever home.

They are now calling on the public to join their “rhythm of compassion” by donating, ensuring they can continue their vital work of protecting animals and finding them loving families to call their own.
