In an oh-so-creative type of comedy, dogs at a dog daycare recreated the film posters of several Oscar-nominated movies, and they might just need their own awards.

Global (05 March 2025) — Oscar-nominated films were the talk and woof of a dog daycare, and not just because the pups are still not over Wicked missing out.

See, a spot called Meyer’s Pet Care has an annual tradition. Every year, they remake Oscar Best Picture nominee posters with their daycare dogs, and this year’s edition might just deserve its own set of awards.

The dogs were nothing short of iconic in their faux-roles, while the clever title adjustments and fantastic photography didn’t hurt the mood.

From ‘The Snootalist’ to ‘A Complete Chewbone’, the recreation offers all the right elements of comedy, creativity and what might be the only time we’ll ever call a priest adorable.

Who Were the Best Picture Nominees?

The 97th Academy Awards had the following nominees:

  • Anora (winner)
  • The Brutalist
  • A Complete Unknown
  • Conclave
  • Dune Part Two
  • Emilia Pérez
  • I’m Still Here
  • Nickel Boys
  • The Substance
  • Wicked

In the same order, here are the clever spins the dogs made of the original film names:

  • Abarka
  • The Snootalist
  • A Complete Chewbone
  • Curclave
  • Boop
  • Emilia Pérro
  • I’m Still Hungry
  • The Goodest Boys
  • The Pupstance
  • Licked

If you’ve seen The Substance, you’ll know exactly why ‘The Pupstance’ is a fantastic spin-off name. As for ‘Licked’, we’ll forgive the name because the film poster was that good. Without further ado:
