The light-hearted “Mini to Mighty” feature gave fans a glimpse into the connection between Proteas star and aspiring young cricketer.
South Africa (08 May 2026) – From mini cricket memories to plenty of chirping behind the stumps, Proteas Women star Sinalo Jafta recently shared a wholesome moment with young cricketer Miss Pillay in a fun sit-down celebrating the joy of the game.
In the light-hearted chat, shared as part of the “Mini to Mighty” series, we get a glimpse into the connection between established Proteas players and the next generation dreaming of following in their footsteps.
Sinalo kicked things off by chatting to the youngster about her role on the field, quickly discovering they had plenty in common. The pair instantly bonded over their shared love for talking on the field, with Jafta joking about being a “yapper” behind the stumps.
The conversation soon turned nostalgic as Sinalo reflected on her own mini cricket days and the friendships that came with the sport.
“I remember when I was younger, my favourite thing about playing mini cricket was just being around my friends.”
