The country is in the grips of a racist throw down because of the Spur incident, but some South Africans are challenging us all to be better and stand against racism.

Since the original post and incident has gone viral, many South Africans have taken to social media to share their view on the real SA!

One of those South Africans is Marnus Broodryk and like many South Africans, is sick of the racial tension that is gripping our nation! So to combat that, he is challenging every single citizen to show kindness and to post those stories instead.

If you are wondering why Marnus Broodryk’s name sounds so familiar, it’s because he is part of the panel on South Africa’s ‘Shark Tank’, a show that helps fund South African entrepreneurs idea’s.

Since that post social media has been filled with posts using the hashtag #abetterSA, sharing posts of a positive and uplifting nature. The posts show unity and pride for our fellow South Africans.

Facebook user Nico Steenkamp shared a post about Mpho and Johannes, two men who have taken a passion for landscaping and are making something great for themselves! Nico shared his thoughts on the two men,

Spur Incident

“Start today to make a positive difference in someone’s life”, “it was so nice to run a positive conversation with Mpho and John ….. it was just as rewarding for me as it was for them.”

There was even another Spur incident that people have started sharing that we feel everyone needs to see!

Greg Best also added his voice to the conversation with his post…

We approve of this, lets flood social media with positive stories about South Africans working together! Share your stories with us too and we will share the good news and help fill social media with stories that unite our country!
